Education denotes the methods which society hands down from one generation to the next, its knowledge, culture and values. The type of education we need is the one which develops the individual physically, mentally, morally and socially.
William Glasser in his book- Schools without Failure – 1969 ( New York: Haper and Row) says that;” unless we can provide schools where children , through reasonable use of capacities can succeed, we will do little to solve the major problems of our country, we will have more social disturbances, more people who need to be kept in jails, prison and mental hospitals, more people who need social workers to take care of their lives because they feel they can’t succeed in society and are no longer willing to try.
Seroma Christian High School has done a lot in conformity with the above assertion as enshrined in our vision; “The Global Hub for Christ-Centred Education and Services” and the Mission”, To equip Christ- centred self- motivated and skilled emerging leaders through quality education”.
We are committed to producing students who can stand all challenges of time. The school environment is conducive enough to enable learners achieve their dream.
The school strives to ensure that most of what has been learnt does not fall prey to the effects of memory decay. Hence several opportunities are availed to students to put to practical test, experiments or actual utilization of what has been learnt. We have embraced ICT by establishing a modern Computer Laboratory.
In all what we have achieved, we give Glory and Honour to God Almighty. Special thanks also go to the Board members, administration, staff, parents and students for deciding to be at the top and paying the heavy price to get there.
It should be remembered that institutions which are dynamic, which continuously develop and experiment with appropriate approaches and mechanism to improve their performance standards, will always be treasured by those who subscribe to their existence because they are result – oriented.
In conclusion, I thank all members who have been instrumental in making our website a reality and supported us in educating the generation that fears God.
