Background
Seroma Christian High School was founded by Lt. Col. Robert and Mrs. Margaret Sekidde in September 2002. Being practising Christians, they felt a divine prompting to have an institution that would emphasise a Christian approach to educate the young generation.
Before the institution was bought, it was called Africana Whiteland College, a name they decided to change to be consistent with the prompting they had received.
The purpose for which the school was established was:-
- To offer world-class facilities to our students thereby promoting an excellent learning environment.
- To ensure and promote effective and efficient use of school resources without compromising better standards.
- To impart good Christian Spiritual values into the lives of Students.
- To promote holistic development of Students and Staff by imparting academics, social, economic and moral skills.
- To attract motivated and retain commited and competent staff.
- To be a model school in innovations, initiatives and effective use of advanced technology as a tool in fostering academic excellence and efficient school management.
- To mentor, discipline, equip, train and network students and staff with the aim of promoting professional growth and development in their God-given callings.
- Overall, to ensure that the school meets and/or surpasses the expectations of its stakeholders by provision of outstanding quantitative and qualitative services
